First Look
Begemot Decals is an interesting decal company from Rostov-on-Don, Russia that offers a nice array of markings for Russian-built aircraft. In this release, Begemot covers the Mi-24P Hind F version of the aircraft, distinctive with its twin-barrel 23mm GSh-23 cannon mounted to the starboard side of the nose. This set is just in time for the recent Zvezda kit.
This set is rendered on 2+ decal sheets and contains markings for 51 aircraft. The decals provide markings from the following countries:
- Soviet Union
- Russia
- East Germany
- Germany
- Ukraine
- Peru
- Guinea
- Myanmar
- Cyprus
- Belarus
- Indonesia
- Nigeria
- Hungary
- Djibuti
- Turkmenistan
- Abkhasia
- Syria
The instructions (as you can see above) are printed in color with color-keys provided to help replicate the color scheme of each example provided.
Hopefully, Begemot will release this set for the Zvezda 1/48 Mi-24P twin-gun fighter.
If you're looking for an interesting project and a unique subject for your shelf or contest table, this is the decal sheet to make that happen.
