First Look
Begemot Decals is an interesting decal company from Rostov-on-Don, Russia that offers a nice array of markings for Soviet and Russian aircraft. In this release, Begemot provides a super set of stencils for your favorite 1/48 MiG-29 Fulcrum kit. Let's take a look:
This set provides maintenance and weapons stenciling for the following aircraft:
- MiG-29 (9.12)
- MiG-29S (9.13)
- MiG-29UB (9.51)
This set provides excellent coverage of the earlier MiG-29s and I hope Begemot will follow these up with markings for the MiG-29SMT (9.19) and likewise provide coverage for the 1/32 MiG-29 kits 'out there'. Even so, with some photo references online, you can use these stencils for the Great Wall 9.19 as well. The font is readable even when I zoom in on the decal image. Nice!
