Begemot Decals is an interesting decal company from Rostov-on-Don, Russia that offers a nice array of markings for Soviet and Russian aircraft. In this release, Begemot provides a super set of decals for the Russian Air Force's updated aircraft markings standards after 2010. Let's take a look:
This set is produced on five sheets of decals and features aircraft service and registration numbers in black and white, and for those camouflage schemes that require white backgrounds for the black text such as the Su-34 and Su-35S that wear the eggplant colored upper/side surfaces. The Russian Federation registration numbers as the RF- plus whatever number is assigned to the aircraft (the same as N-numbers are assigned to US aircraft and G or C numbers are assigned to UK or Canadian aircraft, respectively. The other titles define the service that the aircraft is assigned to: VVS Rossii is Russian Air Force; MA VMF Rossii is Russian Naval Aviation; and, VKS Rossii is the Russian Aerospace Forces, which is the merger of the VVS and the VKO (what was PVO) in 2015.
These decals, plus the red/white/blue stars from set 32017, will help you render a truly up-to-date Russian Air Force subject, something that the model companies have not yet offered.
