First Look

BarracudaCals has returned with their next installment in their 1/32 scale aircraft series with this nice nose art selection of P-40K Warhawks. These subjects run the range of North Pacific, South Pacific, and China/Burma theaters.

P-40 P-40

This set provides an interesting cross-section of subjects:

  • P-40K, 13, 64 FS/57 FG, Hadi Main, Tunisia, 1943, as flown by 1Lt Robert Johnson 'Jay' Overcash
  • P-40K-1, 171, 75 FS/23 FG, Hengyang, China, 1943, as flown by Major Elmer Richardson
  • P-40K-1, 29, 7 FS/49 FG, Port Moresby, New Guinea, 1943, as flown by 2Lt Arland Stanton

The sheets are printed by Cartograf and are very sharp as well as in-register. The sheet comes with a nice set of maintenance stencils and good instructions on where everything goes. The instructions indicate that these markings are intended for the Hasegawa 1/32 P-40K.

My sincere thanks to BarracudaCals Decals for this review sample!
