First Look
BarracudaCals has returned with their next installment in their 1/32 scale aircraft series with this nice selection of P-47 Thunderbolts series aircraft. This set provides three interesting subjects:
- P-47D-28-RA, 42-28641, 359 FS/368 FG/9 AF, A7-W, 'Sleepy Jean III' as flown by Lt Bill Wayland, Spring 1945
- P-47D-25-RE, 42-26742, 510 FS/405 FG/9 AF, 2Z-D, 'Kansas Tornado II' as flown by Capt Horward Curran, Fall 1944
- P-47D-1-RE, 42-7890, 334 FS/4 FG/8 AF, QP-B, 'Boise Bee' as flown by Lt Duane Beeson, Jan 1944
The sheets are printed by Cartograf and are very sharp as well as in-register. The sheet comes with a nice set of maintenance stencils and good instructions on where everything goes. The instructions indicate that these markings will work with any of the 1/32 Thunderbolt kits on the market.
