First Look
AK Interactive is well-known for their growing array of weathering and finishing products for scale modelers. They've also expanded into paints as well, but did you know that they also produce decals? Here is a nice set that takes provides nice camouflage and marking options for your next tank project.
This set features 10 different tanks in Latin American service, the majority of which represent armor from the Chilean Army. This set provide markings for:
- M50/60 Super Sherman, Ejercito de Chile
- M51 Super Sherman, Ejercito de Chile
- A34 Comet Mk.IB, Ejercito de Cuba Rebelde
- Firefly Mk.Vc, Ejercito de Paraquayo
- M4A1E9 Sherman, Ejercito de Chile
- M41 Walker Bulldog, Ejercito de Chile
- M24 Chaffee, Ejercito de Chile
- M4A3E8, Ejercito de Cuba Rebelde
You can see in the color profile that this set provides some interesting alternatives to the standard olive drab (or bronze green) usually found on these tanks. The Chilean desert camouflage provides some interesting tan/brown and tan/green camouflage patterns. If you're looking for an eye-catching subject to stand out on the contest table, this is where you want to start.
