First Look
Afterburner Decals has turned out some impressive decal releases covering contemporary US subjects and this one is definitely no exception. This release provides the data and maintenance stencils on the Mod Eagle-painted F-15 Eagles. This decal set is printed several shades of gray to replicate the variations of markings that were applied in the field or through one of the depots.
The set provides the markings to replicate the tail numbers for virtually all of the F-15s from the late A/B models through all of the C/D models. Interestingly enough, the serials start with the 1977 year group, which was the last year the F-15A/B was produced, but you'll need to do a little surgery if you want to do one of the older year groups.
The decal set provides enough markings to stencil up two complete aircraft with a few extras here and there. If you use this set with one of Afterburner Decals' other interesting F-15 sets, you'll really provide that additional visual fidelity with these stencils.
My sincere thanks to Afterburner Decals for this review sample!
