Build Review
The '66 TV Batmobile is probably my favorite super hero vehicle and Polar Lights has done a stunning job with their snap Batmobile. It's hard to be critical when I really love a subject. But there is no need for critical thinking with this kit.
The first thing you notice when you see the kit, is the sturdy window box showing off the lovely pre-painted and detailed car body. Upon opening the box it only gets better, pre painted vinyl figures of the Caped Crusader And Robin are almost worth the price of admission by themselves.
The kit is molded in black, chrome and clear. It also includes a great decal sheet (with spares) of all the tiny labels and compass roses and such. The tiny labels are even legible (at high magnification)
You will want to paint some details with silver either paint or paint pen. Other details need a white primer before adding red (bat phone, fire extinguisher). The kit is a snap together but as many such, benefits from careful glue assembly. The assembly sequence is well thought out and leads the builder directly to a great desktop treasure. After a little detail paint and decal work, really all that is needed is a wax job for the finished car.
This is the second one I have built this year, it took about two days and I can't get the grin off my face when I look at it. For a look at this kit out of the box, look here.
