Bf 110 Kit

Hobby Boss 1/72 Bf 110 Zerstorer Quick Build Review

By Michael Benolkin

Date of Review July 2013 Manufacturer Hobby Boss
Subject Bf 110 Zerstorer Scale 1/72
Kit Number 80292 Primary Media Styrene
Pros Easy assembly Cons Nothing noted
Skill Level Basic MSRP (USD) $17.99

The Kit

To have a look at this kit out of the box, you can take a look here. This kit is another of HobbyBoss' Easy Kits that take little time to assemble. I had this one assembled from start to finish in just a few hours, and it only took that long as I worked on it while waiting for paint to dry a progressive build. The hardest part of the entire build was trying to hold the aileron counter-balances in place and properly oriented while the glue set up.

As with every quick build, this aircraft was assembled with liquid cement and no fillers or paints. What you see is what you get and what you see is some very nice engineering. The cockpit is Spartan but that is normal for an Easy Kit, the aft firing gun is a bit oversized in this kit.

You can see in the photos of the completed model how well this kit goes together without effort. If you're looking for a quick and relaxing project, this is another good choice from HobbyBoss. Definitely recommended!

My sincere thanks to Squadron Mail Order for this review sample!
