Quick Build
It was the RAF's last biplane fighter and was rendered obsolete by newer monoplane designs even as it was being introduced. Though often pitted against more formidable foes during the early days of the Second World War, it acquitted itself reasonably well in combat.
The RAF Gladiator is another aircraft in the HobbyBoss "Easy assembly authentic kit" line. The kit consists of just 25 parts molded in grey styrene and 1 part molded in clear styrene. All of the parts are very well molded and highly detailed. There is no flash and the seam lines are faint and easy to clean up.
This series of kits is intended for beginning modelers, but they do offer you a great change of pace if you just want to do a quick and nice build.
The fit of all of the parts is great and I had the model built in about an hour.
Decals are provided for 2 aircraft and are printed very well. Color call outs are provided with Gunze, Vallejo, Model Master, Tamiya and Humbrol numbers.
I have built several of these kits and all have provided much enjoyment! Highly Recommended!
My sincere thanks to Squadron Mail Order for this review sample!
