By Stephen Sutton

Subject F-86F Sabre Scale 1/72
Kit Number 00115 Primary Media Styrene

Photo Feature

I built this for a close friend USAF (Ret) Major Sidney Nischan who flew these during the Korean War. Sid passed away a few years back and I had the honor to be re-enlisted by him before his passing. His lovely wife Carol gave me back this model after his death. This is the Hasagawa 1/72nd scale F-86F Sabre kit and I painted with Sid's markings as he flew it, he had 'Lover Lady' painted on the nose. The markings depict aircraft from Suwan AB, 35th Fighter Bomber Squadron, 8th Fighter Bomber Wing, with two command strips added to the nose.
