Build Review

The Martin Mauler never entered WWII due to development delays.  It saw service in 1948 and exited in 1953.  It was replaced by the Skyraider. The Mauler was a tough aircraft to fly or land on carriers but it was a good dive bomber and carried a large payload.

I chose to do a US Reserve Dallas Texas bird. The kit was OK in outline but it had many issues with the molding. I opted for Skyraider wheels.  Added many cockpit details.  Robbed the underwing pod from a Helldiver. I did not use any of the soft metal or resin ordnance.

This is one of my few Collect-Aire models that has not been done in 1:48th scale yet!
