Quick Build Review
For a look at this kit out of the box, look here.
As I mentioned in our first look at this kit, the model is simplicity. Some might argue that the kit will not go together as nice as it appears, so off to the bench to see for myself. As with any quick-build review, I only use liquid cement, sprue cutters, a file, and a sanding stick to get the model together. What's more, I had forgotten the instructions at my computer, so I assembled this sans instructions.
As you can see in the images below, the kit looks like an early Corsair and the model goes together very quickly. For younger modelers, this will be an easy project that can be completed in a session or two (allowing glue to dry) and will provide some fun playtime before the inevitable crash. The experienced modeler could also gain some bragging rights with some work. With a street price of around $15.00 USD, this kit fills that void of affordable fun subjects can be given to younger modelers. Kudos to Round 2 Models for bringing back some nice subjects that are simple in construction and priced for younger modelers.
My sincere thanks to Round2 Models for this review sample
