Aero Research is back with a new series in their growing line-up of great offerings. This latest photo CD features a nice sampling of the A-6 Intruder and EA-6B Prowler. There are some nice shots of the 'brand new' A-6A Intruder from the late 1960s through the A-6E and EA-6B in the 1990s.
As with many of the previous releases in this series, the images are organized by unit, so you'll be able to quickly track down examples from Attack and Electronic Warfare Squadrons that have either transitioned into newer aircraft or have been decommissioned. While some of the Prowler squadrons are still around, the aircraft will eventually be phased out for the EA-18G Growler.
These representative snapshots are from across the US Navy and Marine Corps which provide a nice cross-section of colors and markings of the aircraft in their high-visibility color schemes and later in their low-visibility grays.
I am definitely looking forward to more of these releases as I am hoping to see this title expand in its coverage to include more EA-6A and A-6B examples, but even with these 150 photos, the publisher has only scratched the surface of subjects like this.
This is another nice selection of imagery that you won't find available in such clarity and size. This title is recommended!
You can purchase this reference or any of their other photo CDs directly from their website www.aeroresearchcds.com or via email AeroResearch@Charter.net.
My sincere thanks to Aero Research for this review sample!
