First Look

Here is another option for color-matched paint solutions for your scale modeling needs. This is Mr.Paint which I initially thought was produced by Gunze Sangyo since most of their other paint and hobby products start with Mr. as well. This paint series is actually produced on the other side of the planet in Slovakia and this is one of over 200 colors currently available. Each glass bottle contains 30ml of a color-matched acrylic paint and while most are designed to a specific standard color like FS 36118 or AMT-4, there are some colors that are matched to specific subjects like this one. In time for the AMK 1/48 MiG-31 Foxhound kits, this color replicates the gray used on landing gear struts and the interiors of the landing gear doors (PVO Gray is used outside).

We'll update this first-look into a full-review once I get a chance to run some of this through my airbrush and determine how it performs comparted to other known acrylics on the modeling market. Stay tuned!

In the meantime, you can find this paint line over at Red Star Scale Models who has brought most (if not all) of the colors into the US for your shopping and modeling pleasure.

My sincere thanks to Red Star Scale Models for this sample!
