First Look

Last year, we had the opportunity to try out the new Italeri acrylic paint line ( look here) as they were starting to enter the US market. More recently, Italeri has started packaging these paints into sets of six that provide the more common colors you'd use for a particular group of subjects. At present, there are ten of these sets available and these ten sets still do not cover the full range of colors currently available in this line, so we may see more in the future.

In this set, we have World War II era Regia Aeronautica which provide the following colors:

These paints retail at $4.59 per bottle, but in these sets the price comes down to around $4.16 per bottle and you'll find street prices are sometimes lower (depending on where you shop). I really like the storage system whereby you squeeze what you need into your airbrush or pallette for painting. We'll be putting these colors to good use in some upcoming projects so you'll see again how well these paints can work for your own projects.

My sincere thanks to MRC for these review samples!
