First Look
The Petlyakov Pe-2 was a Soviet dive bomber aircraft that was used during WW II. It was regarded as one of the best ground attack aircraft of the war. It was extremely successful in the roles of heavy fighter, reconnaissance and night fighter. It was one of the most important aircraft of the war, in many respects similar to the British Mosquito.
The kit consists of over 35 styrene parts on 5 sprues. All of the parts have really nice details and are molded to the highest standards. There is no flash present.
I have built several of HobbyBoss's "Easy Assembly" kits and have found each one to be pure fun from start to finish! While geared to beginning modelers, I have found the series to be a great way to do a quick build without sacrificing details. These kits look great when finished!
My sincere thanks to Squadron Mail Order for this review sample!
