For a nice background description of the Ha-Go and a look at the early production versions of this kit, look here and here.

Here is the late production version of this subject which captures the various updates made to the type late in its production run. Molded in light gray styrene, this kit is presented on ten parts trees plus one tree of clear parts, DS track runs molded in tan vinyl, and one fret of photo-etched parts.

Among the features and options in this kit:

  • Detailed suspension
  • Photo-etched engine deck grilles
  • Photo-etched exhaust muffler shield
  • Detailed main gun
  • Detailed bow and turret machine guns
  • Positionable turret hatch

Markings are provided for the following examples:

  • 14th Tank Regiment, Peleliu, 1944
  • 14th Tank Regiment, Peleliu, 1944
  • Co.3, 14th Tank Regiment, Malaysia, 1944
  • Co.1, 9th Tank Regiment, Guam, 1944

This is another nice release from DML which will provide a distinctive subject and when you see how small this tank is in 1/35 scale, you'll wonder as I do how they fit three crewmen inside. This will make a nice addition to your tank shelf with something that isn't another Tiger or Panther. Give one a try!

Thanks to DML for this review sample.
