First Look
So much has been written on the famous R.M.S. Titanic that I will leave it up to you to research the history of the ship! You can find out EVERYTHING you will ever want to know about this ship!!
Academy has released several versions of the R.M.S. Titanic. This time the 1/700 scale kit consists of 131 parts molded in 5 different colors. The kit is all new tooling and is designed for easy assembly and painting (if you want to). With the parts being molded in 5 colors, a very attractive ship can be built without any paint at all. Decals are provided and they are printed very well. The main components all fit very well and the molding and detail on the parts is first rate.
The instructions are very well written and will be easy to follow. This kit would make a great weekend project and has plenty of detail if you want to add paint and spend a little more time on it. Academy should be applauded for producing kits like this as they are a great way to get kids into the hobby.
With the different colored parts and just a few hours for assembly, you can build and enjoy this kit and keep the kids interest long enough to finish it and at the end they will have a nice model to show off and be proud of! Well done Academy!
My sincere thanks to MRC for this review sample!
