First Look
Wingman Models is back with a new series of external stores. In this release, we have a pair of BL755 cluster bombs which are about the size of a 1000 pound bomb but the shell breaks open after release to scatter bomblets around the battlefield. The BL755 was developed by the United Kingdom in the early 1970s for use by the RAF and Royal Navy aircraft and was also exported to abroad.
This set contains two cluster bombs cast in gray resin as well as a small fret of photo-etched parts containing the arming fan and a three (one spare) fan hubs for the fronts of the bombs also in gray resin. The set is rounded out with a nice set of weapons stencils.
You'll find these weapons were carried by a wide range of RAF and RN aircraft from Phantoms to Hawks, Luftwaffe aircraft from F-104s to Tornados, and the Iranians adapted their F-4s, F-5s to carry these weapons. This set will provide a distinctive loadout for your next 1/32 project!
My sincere thanks to Wingman Models for this review sample!
