Skunkmodels Workshop continues to turn out some very nice kits and accessories including a nice array of 1/72 UAVs, weapons sets, utility vehicles, and display bases. In this case, they have returned with this new weapons set and they are carried by the nice folks at LuckyModel.com.

With the recent release of several Mirage 2000 variants from Kinetic as well as previous modern French fighters from Heller and others, nobody has produced a decent set of weapons to arm these aircraft. Skunkmodels has stepped up with this first-ever set of modern French weapons (including some US-made LGBs).

This set provides the following weapons/external options for your Mirage 2000 (and other suitable) kits:

  • 4 x AASM
  • 2 x AUF-2 centerline racks
  • 4 x GBU-12
  • 4 x GBU-22
  • 2 pair M2K 1700 liter external fuel tanks (export version)
  • 8 x MICA IR/Radar-Guided missiles

This small box contains 16 parts trees molded in light gray styrene, four each of the sprues shown to the right. The box is relatively heavy given its size and you can see it provides not only the weapons but also the pylons and launchers.

Markings are provided for the weapons with options for inert and live markings.

This is a nice set that provides some distinctive stores for the Mirage 2000 (and others) including that unique AUF-2 adaptor that allows for dual bombs or missiles under the centerline.
