First Look
minor produces an interesting array of 1/35 scale aftermarket detail sets which transform a number of otherwise nice kits into some distinctive subjects. Here is one such detail set which makes my point. This is a resin and photo-etched 3-ton crane which bolts to the frame of any early truck to render an early tow truck or other utility service. You can see this crane mounted to the frame of an old Ford Model A truck (or GAZ-AA).
This crane is a kit of its own and includes four resin parts (two shown), one length of chain, and lots of parts on this photo-etched fret. The instructions are nicely laid out and show where all of the tiny parts go to replicate the bolt heads and other fasteners on this detailed crane. Since this is a generic unit, you can add you own details to compliment the model that this crane with be mounted upon.
This is a reasonably priced kit which will transform your project into something eye-catching on the contest table. With the variety of tiny photo-etched parts, I do recommend this set to experienced modelers.
My sincere thanks to minor for this review sample!
