Flying Leathernecks Models is back and has released a very nice tool. This is a laser-cut tail jig designed to set the correct tail angle for the Hasegawa 1/48 F/A-18 series except for the Super Hornets. As you can see in the image below, this jig simply slips over the two vertical stabs and will hold those tails in proper form while the glue sets.

Unless you accidently super-glue this jig to your model, this tool is re-usable for as many Hornets as you can put across your bench. While the jig was specifically cut for the Hasegawa kits, you should be able to use it with the Revell, HobbyBoss, and other 1/48 Hornets (not Super Hornets) though you may have to deal with differences in tail spacing from these other companies. You're on your own here...
