First Look
Eduard continues to amaze me with the detail sets that they turn out. Some are more stunning than others, but sets like this one are essential for several reasons.
This set provides eight ammo belts which are already brass colored, so no painting is required to get a realistic finish.
When laid into an open ammo can with a wedge underneath to simulate more belts of ammo underneath, you can pose this next to a machine gun waiting to be loaded.
On a two-man gun, you can have a belt twisted and laid out on the ground as the loader is feeding the gun.
And of course with a tank or vehicle-mounted gun, this belt can be seen streaming from the ammo can directly into the breech.
So while the set isn't technically color photo-etch, it just happens to be the right color for this job and fills in a detail that is too-often overlooked by the modeler. This set is elegant in its simplicity.
This set is definitely recommended!
My sincere thanks to Eduard for this review sample!
