Eduard continues to amaze me with the detail sets that they turn out. Double that when you consider the revolutionary color photo-etch process they're using now. This detail set provides the all-essential ammo boxes for the 50 caliber machine gun.
This is one of Eduard's color-photo-etch sets. As part of their Zoom line, this set is also inexpensive and simple to use. The colored parts are the three ammo boxes which are pre-colored in OD Green and feature the standard ammo identification stenciling on the side of the boxes.
In addition to the three boxes, the set also includes two feed adapters that align the ammo as it comes out of the box and into the side-feed of the gun. The set also comes with two styles of ammo can cradles.
At $7.95 MSRP, this is an inexpensive way to dress up your tank commander's machine gun or perhaps the gun on your new halftrack. Either way, all you'll need are the ammo belts which are also available from Eduard in another Zoom detail set.
This set is definitely recommended!
My sincere thanks to Eduard for this review sample!
