First Look
If you're having a case of deja vu (all over again), yes, Eduard did release the AS.34 Kormoran set last year as Brassin set 648195. This set is almost identical to that release with one notable exception: this set includes pylons. The Kormoran 1 is an anti-ship missile developed in Germany and also used by Italy. Initially deployed with the F-104G Starfighter, the system has since been integrated with the Tornado.
You'll recall that Eduard released the Hasegawa 1/48 F-104G in its limited edition series (twice) and has also released a number of unique enhancements for the kit. This set provides the weapons pylons for the Hasegawa (Eduard) 1/48 F-104G and the instructions even show you which holes in the wing to use for mounting these beauties. The set also includes a small sheet of details to render the weapons stenciling for the missiles.
If you're planning to depict a German Navy (Marine) Starfighter, what better enhancement than to arm the model with a pair of anti-ship missiles? Get this set from your local hobby shop.
My sincere thanks to Eduard for this review sample!
