First Look
Eduard from the Czech Republic is easily the most prolific producer of aftermarket details. Period. Their series of photo-etched detail sets have brought additional fidelity to otherwise bland subjects, and have taken even the best-produced models and kicked them up a notch or two with details that cannot be produced with injection-molded plastic.
Here is Eduard's detail set for the late model Tiger I and designed for the Academy kit. This set includes the four sectional fenders on each side of the hull as well as the front and rear fenders. This set includes new exhaust muffler heat shields, engine deck grilles, and lots of brackets to replace the molded-on brackets for the tank's array of pioneering tools. In addition, this set includes interior hatch locking and hinge details, tow cable stowage brackets, turret stowage bin hinges and hasps, and even a complete photo-etched travel lock, all to add that nice addition of eye-catching detail to the finished model.
If you want to add some eye-catching realism in your next Academy Tiger kit, this set is just what you're looking for!
My sincere thanks to Eduard for this review sample!
