First Look
Eduard from the Czech Republic is easily the most prolific producer of aftermarket details. Period. Their series of photo-etched detail sets have brought additional fidelity to otherwise bland subjects, and have taken even the best-produced models and kicked them up a notch or two with details that cannot be produced with injection-molded plastic. Many AMS modelers will collect the relevant Eduard photo-etch sets for a given project, but they'll also go out and gather specific resin enhancements as well.
In this release, Eduard has provided the TOGA supplemental armor for the Meng 1/35 Achzarit kit. The instructions show how this is installed on the rear of the upper hull as spaced armor similar to the M113 Zelda spaced armor. This set is provided on two frets of photo-etch details with the fold lines etched into place where appropriate and the mesh plate detailing that can't be replicated in other mediums.
This set is one of several released for the Meng 1/35 kit and elevates the level of detail in the kit nicely.
My sincere thanks to Eduard for this review sample!
