If you haven't visited the Cobra Company website recently, you haven't seen the interesting research (and fun) that Chris Miller has been doing - he has restored a full-scale OV-1 Mohawk nose! So when you look at a resin detail set for the Mohawk cockpit, you'll see that this was a labor of love as well!
This set is designed for the 1/48 scale OV-1 Mohawk kits released by Roden earlier in 2005. The kit is beautiful on the outside and generally has nice detailing all around, but one area that is a bit on the simple side is the main gear wells in the wings.
Cobra Company to the rescue! Here are two new main gear wells cast in tan resin with nice detailing. How nice? Check out the Mohawk walk arounds here and see for yourself!
The wheel wells and gear doors are direct replacements for the kit parts and there should be no special effort required to use this set.
This set is definitely recommended for the Mohawk modeler and is available directly from Cobra Company.
My sincere thanks to Cobra Company for this review sample!
