Cobra Company has released several interesting conversions to bring the Panda/Dragon 1/35 UH-1D/H Huey in-line with the production details of the UH-1D/H. This conversion is designed to sharpen up some of the detailing of the drive train as well as provide correct details for this version of the Huey as the kit is using parts from their UH-1N release. While many modelers wouldn't notice the detail differences between the two versions, Cobra Company detail sets are intended for the AMS modeler who wants to get their Huey 'right'.
This modification provides a new transmission, main rotor blades, main rotor hub, tail rotor gear box, tail rotor and hub assembly, and other nice key detailing for the drive train. The instructions provide good guidance on what to do with the detailing provided on the kit itself to render an accurate representation of this aircraft.
This set represents a really simple conversion and would be ideal for someone wanting to create a unique model. AMS modelers will like this set too as this brings the Panda/Dragon Huey into the more distinctive configuration.
This detail set is available directly from Cobra Company (www.cobracompany.com).
Definitely Recommended!
My sincere thanks to Cobra Company (www.cobracompany.com) for this review sample!
