I met up with the new owner of CAM resin details at the 2006 IPMS/USA National Convention and not only is he reissuing the existing CAM detail line, he's already releasing new subjects as well.
This set is a rather simple upgrade for your favorite 1/48 scale P-47 Thunderbolt or P-51 Mustang. These are metal drop tanks that were carried for a while but dropping valuable metal every sortie led to other materials to used for drop tanks.
This set consists of a pair of tanks though the profile indicates that the rear of the tank should be a bit more pointed. Rather than cutting away the molding stub, somewhere in that resin are the ends of those tanks, so you'll want to carefully shape those molding blocks into the correct shapes for the rear end of the tank. Check your references.

My sincere thanks to John's Models for this review sample!
