I met up with the new owner of CAM resin details at the 2006 IPMS/USA National Convention and not only is he reissuing the existing CAM detail line, he's already releasing new subjects as well.
This set is a rather simple modification for virtually any 1/48 Fw 190A-8 kit. This set provides a pair of slipper tanks to provide a low-drag range extension for the parasite fighters that were mounted atop long range maritime patrol aircraft Mistel-style..
Simply file away the molding stubs and cyano these onto the trailing edges of the wings of your advanced long-range fighter. If you want to see what this looks like, check out my 1/72 build of the parasite fighter and its mother ship.
If there is a quarter-scale Fw 190A-7/8 in your future, you might consider this essential enhancement. Recommended! Check out this and other CAM detail sets at John's Models (www.johnsmodels.com).
My sincere thanks to John's Models for this review sample!
