First Look
Zotz Decals is back with yet another interesting release, this time a nice selection of A-4Es for the recent Trumpeter 1/32 A-4E Skyhawk kit. This set is provided on one large sheet and one small sheet of decals.
The four aircraft featured in this set are:
- A-4E, 149996, VA-46, AA/416, USS Forrestal, 1967, as flown by LtCdr John McCain III
- A-4E, 151073, VA-155, NL/500, USS Constellation, 1966, as flown by Cdr Wesley McDonald
- A-4E, 149658, VMA-211, CF/24, Chu Lai MCB, Vietnam, 1967
- A-4E, 151147, VMA-211, CF/20, Chu Lai MCB, Vietnam, 1967
As you can see in the image above, the printing of these decals is up to the usual high standards of Zotz Decals and are excellent alternative markings for the Trumpeter kit. What's more, none of these decals require the modeler to stack multiple layers of markings atop one another to recreate artwork. This trend by some other decal companies of producing multiple-layer decals is unfortunate as it puts the burden on you to do the work of what should have been done by the decal maker.
