First Look
Superscale International is well-known for their aftermarket decals. At one time these decals were produced under the Microscale brand before the business was split up, but even then Superscale decals were still printed by Microscale. Of course this company goes back many decades and the company more recently became part of Squadron's line-up of hobby products. This set was printed by Cartograf, so the times sure have changed!
This set was produced for the recent Hasegawa releases of their 1/32 P-40K. This set provides the essential markings to replicate one of your choice of two distinctive aircraft:
- P-40K-5, 400, 16 FS/51 FG, 'Duke', Commander's Aircraft, 1943 as flown by Major Robert Liles
- P-40K-5, 209, 25 FS/51 FG, 'Miss Wanna II', 1943, as flown by 1Lt Charles White
The set provides distinctive for two aircraft and the national markings and airframe stenciling for one aircraft. The instructions provide color references to FS 595 paints.
This set provides two interesting subject alternatives to the Hasegawa short-tailed P-40K kits.
My sincere thanks to Squadron Mail Order for this review sample!
