First Look
MAW-Decals has produced the ultimate resource for anyone building a 1/48 scale F/A-18 Hornet. This decal release provides an extensive set of maintenance stencils for the Hornet, and all of the markings on this sheet are used to stencil one aircraft.
This set includes standard subdued national markings, safety markings, lift points, access panel identifications, and more for a standard airframe. In addition, this set provides lift point markings for three external tanks, chaff/flare panels, AN/ASQ-173 and AN/AAS-38 pods, and more.
The set also has placards for the SJU-5/6 Ejection Seat(s), nosegear door, and landing gear struts.
Of course, no good stenciling set would be complete without markings for your external stores. This set provides live weapons markings for the following:
- AGM-65E Maverick (2)
- AIM-9M Sidewinder (2)
- GBU-12D Paveway II (2)
This is MAW Decals' first sheet printed by Cartograf and the printing is beautifully done!
