First Look
MAW-Decals has released a new set of decals, this time just-in-time for the re-release of the 1/48 F-4S Phantom II kit from Hasegawa.
In this release, MAW Decals has selected a pair of Sierras that will appeal to the eye - one a pre-subdued camo scheme of a MiG-21 killer over Vietnam (prior to conversion to the Sierra) and one from the Shamrocks that displays the contemporary 'low-viz' camouflage.
The two aircraft covered in this set are:
- F-4S, 157307, VMFA-232, WT/03, Nov 1988, MiG-21 killer while still a F-4J, on display now at the Dulles annex of the National Air and Space Museum
- F-4S, 153891, VMFA-333, DN/01, 1985-86, MCAS Beaufort
The decal printing is crisp and colorful and the instructions are printed in full color.
If you're looking for a distinctive Marine Corps F-4S Sierra color scheme to use with your next Hasegawa kit, your search is now over. Sierra Hotel! This set is definitely recommended!
