First Look
MAW-Decals continues to turn out some interesting and colorful subjects highlighting the US Marine Corps (their name is MAW - Marine Air Wing). In one of their earlier releases, they produced the colorful boss bird from VMFA-122 in 1/48 scale (reviewed here). For those of you wanting to do this aircraft with the outstanding Academy 1/32 Hornet, your wait is over.
In the 1/48 scale release, MAW-Decals replicated two aircraft, the colorful 'boss bird' and a more typical subdued line aircraft. Given the size difference going to 1/32 scale, they've naturally focused on the 'boss bird'.
The aircraft covered in this set is :
- F/A-18C, 164265, VMFA-122, DC/01, January 2004
The decal printing is crisp and colorful and also replicates the distictive centerline tank. The instructions are printed in full color.

My sincere thanks to MAW-Decals for this review sample!
