First Look
LPS Hobby from Brazil has returned with some new decals targeted for the 1/72nd scale modeler. In this release, they've produced markings for three camouflaged P-51D Mustangs from the 357th Fighter Group. The subjects include:
- P-51D-5-NA, 44-13681, 363 FS/357 FG, Leiston, UK, 1944, 'Mary Alice', as flown by Capt. Atlee G. Manthos
- P-51D-5-NA, 44-13318, 364 FS/357 FG, Leiston, UK, 1944, 'Frenesi', as flown by Lt.Col. Tommy Hayes
- P-51D-10-NA, 44-14789, 362 FS/357 FG, Leiston, UK, 1944, 'Missouri Armada', as flown by Capt. John B. England
The decals are printed by Microscale and the kill markings will require the swastika kill markings placed atop the red and white backgrounds to complete the artwork.
For some nice alternatives to the kit markings in your favorite 1/72 P-51D kit, give these a try!
My sincere thanks to LPS Hobby for this review sample!
