First Look
LPS Hobby from Brazil has returned with some new decals targeted for the 1/72nd scale modeler. In this release, they've produced markings for three Bf 110D aircraft designed for the Airfix kit. The subjects include:
- Bf 110D, 3U+DD, III Gruppenstab II/ZG 26, 1941
- Bf 110D-3, S9+DH, Gruppenstab, Erprobungsgruppe 210, Battle of Britain
- Bf 110D, 3C+GS, 8./NJG 4, 1942
The decals are printed by Microscale and feature single-layer markings, swastikas, and a nice set of airframe maintenance stencils. According to the instructions, some of these aircraft are featured in the Airfix kit, but the maintenance stencils and some of the markings needed correction, plus the ease of use of the Microscale decals make this set very worthwhile indeed.
