First Look
FCM Decal is an interesting line of aftermarket decals from Brazil. The subjects covered in this line include many Brazilian civil and military aircraft subjects, WWI aircraft, and the occasional look at the aircraft of other nations as well.
In this set, we have an interesting selection of Iranian Tomcats, one from the Imperial Iranian AF, the other three from the Islamic Republic of Iran AF:
- F-14A, 160325/3-0627, 82 TFS, IIAF, Shiraz AB, 1977
- F-14A, 160318/3-6020, 82 TFS, IRIAF, Khatami AB, 1987
- F-14A, 1603337/3-6039, 82 TFS, IRIAF, Khatami AB, 1987
- F-14A, 160339/3-6041, 82 TFS, IRIAF, Khatami AB, 2003
If you look at the decal sheet, there is one aircraft that doesn't fit the Iranian theme, that is because FCM has also included the markings for one US Navy F-14A, NH/104, VF-114 'Aardvarks' from 1982.
The printing of the FCM Decal line is sharp and clear, with the markings printed on a heavier carrier film that responds well to film softeners like Solvaset. The decal set includes complete stenciling, windows, doors and other essential details.
