First Look
Begemot Decals is an interesting decal company from Rostov-on-Don, Russia that offers a nice array of markings for Soviet-built aircraft. In this release, Begemot provides a super set of decals for the Russian Air Force red star national markings in the 2010 style. Let's take a look:
This set is produced on three sheets of decals. Begemot has taken an interesting approach to these markings as the standard Soviet/Russian red/white stars are printed separately from the blue outlines that overlay the inner star. While I am usually opposed to multilayer decals, this is an exception since you can use the basic red/white stars for any pre-2010 projects and add the blue outlines for current subjects. With the large quantity of stars in a variety of sizes, this is one set you'll want to have handy for all future Russian/Soviet AF projects!
