First Look
Archer transfers are very well done. Multiple colors are always in register I have found. There is a vast variety of markings for armor subjects to be found in the Archer offerings.
Most of my modeling of German armor winds up usually with Afrika Korps paint jobs and markings. Rommel always fascinated me and his army in Africa seemed to always fight a clean war.
I am currently working on a build review of the Italeri 1/35 scale Horch command car. I want to do it in Afrika Korps markings, but found that I did not have any palm tree and swastika markings in my decal file to use.
Woody Vondracek of Archer Fine Transfers was kind enough to send me a review sample of his sheet of these markings in white. Archer also does the same ones in black too by the way.
Dry transfer, for those of you that are uninitiated, are rub on type decals. No water is needed as these self-adhere when burnished down with a blunt pointed tool or a ball point pen. The look absolutely painted on afterwards and there is no carrier film, like associated with most water-slide type decals found in most kits. There is also no need for the wetting agents and decal solvents for these also.
My sincere thanks to Archer Fine Transfers for this review sample.
