First Look

21st Century Toys has entered the decal market with this first sheet that covers 'politically incorrect' subjects. Those of us who've purchased kits that are offered on the international market know what most of these kits do not offer swastikas among their decals to avoid import and/or legal problems with several EU countries, not the least of which is Germany. So to compensate for the demand among 1/32 scale modelers out there for decals to complete these politically correct kits, 21st Century Toys offers this sheet of politically incorrect markings.

Among the swastikas offered in this set are markings sized and styled for the following types:

  • Ju 87
  • Me 262
  • Bf 109E
  • Bf 109F/G
  • Fw 190A
  • Fw 190D

In addition, a nice array of US-styled kill markings of German and Japanese aircraft are also provided.

The EU countries aren't the only ones subject to political sensitivities. Have you noticed that none of the 21st Century Toys offerings have been of completely marked AVG P-40B from the Flying Tigers? This is due to the Chinese sensitivities over the Taiwanese national markings, so this sheet also provides you with the 'politically incorrect' Nationalist Chinese markings to finish out your AVG subjects.

This decal set was available directly from 21st Century Toys.

My sincere thanks to 21st Century Toys for this review sample!
